Why did you enter the mortgage industry? 

 

The American Dream is homeownership,” George says. “To be part of this industry, for us, is an amazing gift.”

In your opinion, what is the most rewarding aspect of homeownership? 

 

“Owning a home is the number one way to build wealth in this country,” George says. “When we rent, we pay someone else’s mortgage.”

What would you consider to be the foundation of your business?

 

“Start with the basis of relationships in the simplest of forms - treat others as you would want to be treated,” says George. “Our buyers don’t purchase a home every day, and we need to remember that.”

From a bird’s-eye view of the mortgage industry, what is something you wish you knew five years ago? 

 

In the blink of an eye, the real estate environment can change,” says George. “You need to work with a lender that has the ability to adapt to those changes quickly, and provide every product necessary to help our clients position themselves, especially in a seller’s market, to win against the odds.”

 

What advice do you have for first-time homebuyers in today’s market? 

 

“The internet is an amazing tool, abundant with information and misinformation alike,” George says. “When trusting the single biggest purchase you may ever make in your life to anyone, remember that no one knows your market like a local lender.”

“Our current climate is one that favors a seller, unfortunately,” George says. “A lack of inventory and many competing offers on homes coming onto the market are still putting buyers at a disadvantage.”
